ABSTRACT

Computers were common household items in the early 1990s and electronic mail (e-mail) was rarely used; 10 years later, e-mail had become not only a part of doing business but also an important part of everyday life. There is no question that this so-called information age has brought with it a myriad of benefits. The World Wide Web, in particular, has put at one’s fingertips a volume of information that would only be available in a large library, along with the power to search through that library much faster than anyone could think possible less than two decades ago. One can be justified in asking how people have succeeded to manage their work, let alone their life, without it.
