ABSTRACT

Service delivery platforms (SDPs) have always stood at the forefront of telecommunications, as they are the foundation for the creation, deployment, provision, control, charging, and management of telecommunication services provided to end users, thus enabling the generation of revenues. The SDPs represent the programming interface that allows programming of the underlying network capabilities and therefore are primarily based on usage of information technologies (ITs). SDPs have continually changed over the last decades, as innovation has been taking place at a rapid pace in this domain.
