ABSTRACT
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) audits require discrepancies to be tracked, resolved, and closed, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Service Organizations—A Systems Engineering and CMMI-based appraisals end with the identification of weaknesses leaving it as the organization’s prerogative to decide how to address those weaknesses. An effective approach to addressing different appraisal methods is to develop a body of objective evidence that simultaneously satisfies each of the selected frameworks. The chapter discusses the assessment methods associated with each framework, looks at their commonalities, and describes a potential solution that can be implemented to satisfy most methods at the same time. An efficient multiframework appraisal approach can be less burdensome and less expensive than separate appraisals. This can free an organization to stay focused on business goals and spend its time and efforts on true improvements.
