ABSTRACT
Extensible Markup Language (XML) is currently being championed as the language of the future for greasing the wheels of the drive toward E-commerce over the “Net.” Already, thousands of new “dot.coms” have started from scratch to specifically take advantage of the booming Web-based business world. Light on their feet and already relying on modern relational database management systems (RDBMS), they are readily equipped to switch over to XML.
