ABSTRACT

The Department of Defense (DOD) funded the Advanced Applied Technology Development Facility (AATDF) in 1993 with the mission of enhancing the development of innovative remedial technologies for DOD by bridging the gap between academic research and proven technologies. To accomplish its mission, the AATDF selected 11 projects that involved the quantitative demonstration of innovative remediation technologies. Field demonstrations were completed for each of these projects. To further assist with the potential commercialization of remediation technologies and to disseminate information on the technologies, the AATDF sponsored the preparation of a Technology Evaluation Report by an independent engineering consulting firm.
