ABSTRACT
Dozens of books and hundreds, if not thousands, of articles have been written about various aspects of this transformation process. A comprehensive review of this literature is out of the question in such a limited amount of space. But a few noteworthy publications might be mentioned so that readers who might be unfamiliar with the topic will have a starting point for further research.
