ABSTRACT

Converged sensitivity describes the impact of ICT convergence on the assurance requirements of information assets in an organization. Converged sensitivity is about comprehending that the risks and assurance requirements of available assets cannot be considered independently if an organization wishes to take advantage of converged IP applications. Enterprise risk managers have always said that assurance and risk must be gauged across the entire organization and must take into account all assets; this approach to risk management has taken on a significantly new meaning in the all-IP world. Converged applications penetrate all levels of production and lines of business and the segregated and redundant integration and communications systems of old are gone. Convergence presents a new potential for threats that impact across organizations and results in cascading failures not been previously known.
