ABSTRACT
The concepts of deter, detect, deny, and respond are the same physical security approaches that are applied to a bank. When dealing with any institution or operation, the same functional security model can be relevant and effective. As Willie Sutton purportedly stated when asked why he robbed banks, “Because that’s where the money is.” Knowing that a bank is a target for robberies, it is essential that protective measures be employed to protect employees, customers, and assets.
