Several workers have reviewed the various advantages of dehydroemetin1 over emetine, as listed below.
2. The half-life for the whole body (time in which half the amount o an injected dose disappears from the whole body) is 2.22 d, compare to 5.27 d for emetine (Schwartz and Rieder, 1961b).
