ABSTRACT

In wireless communications, adaptive filters are used for channel equalization and/or estimation of channel coefficients. Adaptive filters are digital filters capable of self adjustment. Digital filters are typically a special type of finite impulse response (FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) filters. Adaptive filters can also be separated in two main groups; semi-blind and blind filters, according to their information knowledge of parameters to be estimated by filtering [1-9].
