ABSTRACT
Once there are managed systems in place, the next thing to do is monitor the status of the systems and verify that the reported status is correct. Measuring status is a way to create metrics that can then be used to drive change and improvement. e complete configuration management (CM) lifecycle needs to be measured and the status of the various configuration items (CIs) should be monitored for effectiveness. Verification of the CM states by way of compliance checks can ensure that systems are supportable and sustainable.
