ABSTRACT
Astroviruses are members of the Astroviridae family, and include both human and animal nonenveloped viruses possessing plus-sense, single-stranded RNA genome. In humans, astroviruses mainly induce gastroenteritis and are considered one of the most common causes of viral gastroenteritis in young children worldwide [1].
