ABSTRACT

The decision maker (DM) has to make decisions in a complex environment. He or she has to deal with the problem of uncertain information and has to respond to it rapidly. As one of the most important aspects of decision-making, multi-attribute decision making (MADA) is widely used. For example, the criteria of price, space ratio, f loor space, location, and surroundings are considered in the purchase a house. One must consider equipment, production price, capability, management level, business credit standing, and enterprise culture to select the best partner. There exist many effective methods, such as the analytic hierarchy process, TOPSIS, ELECTRE [102, 103], PROMETHEE [104, 105],and so on.
