ABSTRACT

No one needs to be reminded that the right to privacy is a much-cherished possession. As this century dawns, advances in technology have introduced threats to personal privacy in ways that no one ever imagined. What many of us are not aware of is just how available information is about our private lives. Organizations have always been concerned about security of critical information. Companies often discipline employees who gain access to data and information not within the scope of their job function. However, we need to ask whether those that do have access privileges are using this information correctly and ethically.
