ABSTRACT

A basic concept in the working world is the right of people to work, regardless of whether or not they suffer from a disability (UN 1996). This is why ergonomics must take the work environment into account and adapt it to the worker’s functional limitations. In this respect, two basic work elements must be considered: on the one hand, there is the degree of functioning required for a worker to perform a specific task; and on the other, the functions that a given subject can undertake; and both elements must coexist for a task to be performed in the appropriate manner.
