ABSTRACT

Organ transplantation is a well established option for women with end-stage organ failure. With advances in transplantation surgery and immunosuppressive regimens there has been improved prognosis for patient and graft alike, and the number of transplants in women of reproductive age has increased. Furthermore, the success of transplantation has also meant that children who received organ transplants now reach childbearing age.1 So inevitably pregnancy in women with an organ transplant is increasingly common as part of their total rehabilitation.
