ABSTRACT
Filarial nematodes of the genus DiroŸlaria, natural parasites of wild and domestic animals, can occasionally infect humans and could experience aberrant or partial development, rarely reaching sexual maturity and sometimes causing the formation of subcutaneous nodules or pulmonary lesions.
