ABSTRACT
You validate the user interface of a medical device by having representative users use it in a realistic manner. By comparison, you verify a user interface of a device by inspection, by making sure that its various elements fulƒll preestablished requirements and that it performs the intended functions. Successful veriƒcation does not ensure successful validation and vice versa.
