ABSTRACT

If I have stressed any point during this book, it is that communications are key to your recovery. If you learn how and when to talk to one another and all the other stakeholders of an event, then your recovery will most likely be successful no matter what struggles you face. There are many types of communications that need to occur during an event. In the event-management section of this book, we talked about how to establish a method of communications around an event that impacts business that becomes part of the fabric of the organization. When an event becomes a crisis or a disaster, other communications are needed to address the concerns of other stakeholders who do not get involved in the minor dayto-day interruptions. The focus of this chapter is on managing recovery communications.
