ABSTRACT

Introduction Project management literature often refers to the need for project managers to be good problem solvers. Unfortunately, problem solving on projects is not as binary as solving a mathematical equation, which either can or cannot be solved. In the cases when it can be solved, there is usually one way to do so. Problem solving in projects is more complex, offering a variety of solutions with a myriad of results. Those results are often temporary and result in the problem being transferred in disguise to someone else.
