ABSTRACT

In a recent paper [9], devoted to the arithmetic of congruence monoids in Dedekind domains, we introduced abstract congruence monoids (AC-monoids) and C0monoids as appropriate tools for the arithmetical investigations of the more complicated arithmetically interesting objects. A similar concept (that of a Z-monoid) was used by W. Hassler [17] for the investigation of the multiplicative arithmetic of a large class of finitely generated integral domains.
