ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the use of control charts for process control, where quality is measured by either a count of nonconforming pieces or a count of nonconformities in a sample of product. There are two distinct cases, as pointed out in Chapter 4: (1) analysis of past data, and (2) control with standards given. We first consider the analysis for counts of nonconforming pieces or units.
