ABSTRACT
We would like to offer a quick insight into the rather bizarre, but increasingly popular, practice of genital piercing. There is surprisingly little written on this subject in the nursing and medical litera ture. However, it could be argued that within medi cine, we should have a good working knowledge of this socalled ‘body art’: as its popularity increases, so does the likelihood that we will have to deal with the complications.
