ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION This chapter discusses industry and regulatory trends in assuring the “quality” of process control systems and how applying validation and qualification does not mean more or less effort, rather it is about taking a view of the “whole” process and “right sizing” your approach to ensure the system meets the business need, and is fit for its intended use.
