ABSTRACT
Abstract We introduce in this article a topological invariant, t(f) ≥ 0, that allows us to study the topological transitivity of a Lorenz map, f , with positive topological entropy. Since it is possible to calculate t (f) with any intended precision, this result supplies an algorithm to detect the topological transitivity for a relevant class of these maps.
