ABSTRACT
Dynamical systems were first conceived by Henri Poincare´ in order to study certain questions of celestial mechanics. He was able to solve some very important problems of long standing by using this powerful new technique. Today, dynamical systems form one of the hottest and most central areas of mathematical research. Dynamical systems are used to study meteorology, cosmology, particle physics, signal processing, and many other aspects of science and technology.
