ABSTRACT

Proteomics is the large-scale study of protein’s structure and their functions. Protein structure prediction plays an important role in proteomics as

it is useful for drug design in medicine, design of novel enzymes in biotechnology and many other fields. The Human Genome Project has created large amounts of protein sequence data, but since tertiary structure of the protein gives better understanding of the protein in terms of its function, structure prediction is one of the most important research tasks in this domain. Experimental methods and computational methods are two well known approaches used for the prediction of the tertiary structure of a protein.
