ABSTRACT

A method is likely to be most suitable if it is based on and derived in a systematic way from a well-founded theory (see Figures I.2, 4.7, 7.2, and 7.3). A method needs to be adapted, usually by the user, to the design situation (see Chapter 3). Some initial definitions are
