ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION The world population is ageing, especially within the industrialized countries and this tendency will continue especially due to better social conditions, control of chronic diseases, and improvement of health care. A great deal of effort will be needed especially on a social level with this population which, due to increasing extremes of age, will be more and more isolated but also due to the development and daily use of medicinal products/drugs.
