ABSTRACT
The purposes of this chapter are to discuss the behavior of fluids while they are flowing, to present a unified mathematical approach to solving fluid flow problems, and to derive the basic equations of fluid mechanics. The continuity, momentum, and energy equations are derived for a general case. The Bernoulli equation is developed from the momentum and energy equations.
