ABSTRACT
There are 96 industries in 11 industrial clusters in China in 1997, accounting for 77.4% of all industries. Total output amount is up to 16603.591 billion yuan, accounting for 83.1% of total output of all industries. Industrial clusters have been important sub-systems in the Chinese national economic system, the working status of which directly affects healthy development of the Chinese national economy. Structural and functional analyses of about industrial clusters provide abundant raw data and new thinkings. During the period of the 11th five-year planning, in order to carry out scientific development, propel the transition of economic growth, and facilitate healthy and sustainable development of the national economy, the policies of industrial clusters should be stressed in the development of industrial policies in China. This chapter discusses focal points of industrial cluster policies and cut-in points and path of industrial cluster policies.
