ABSTRACT
The Basel Convention and its sister chemical conventions and protocols represent the foundation upon which to build and consolidate an adequate global response for protecting human health and the environment from the adverse effects of chemicals and waste and for planting the seeds to manage future emerging problems soundly and safely on a sustainable basis.
