ABSTRACT

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) was established in 1945 to help countries produce sufžcient food, feed, and žber to sustain their own populations and provide tangible economic benežts. While also addressing žsheries and forest-based sources of food and livelihoods, nevertheless the focus of attention has consistently been on land-based production in the form of crops and livestock.
