ABSTRACT
Within the framework of nonsmooth mechanics, a mechanical problem is typically governed not by equations but by inclusions, i.e., relations such that some functions of state variables are included in certain sets. As a class of sets, particularly, convex sets are important for practical and theoretical reasons.
