ABSTRACT
Laser-aided plasma diagnostics are one part of a large group of diagnostic methods for plasmas that involve the measurement of electromagnetic waves. This large group of measurement methods, collectively known as ‘plasma spectroscopy’, has been studied and developed for many years. Laser-aided plasma diagnostics, together with microwave-based methods, form a subset of this large group which can be called ‘active plasma spectroscopy’.
