ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we review the coordinate systems of translation planes, called quasifields. Many of the important classes of translation planes were originally constructed using quasifields, which often were obtained by varying the multiplication of an associated field. However, two quasifields can produce the same, or isomorphic translation planes. This material is from the authors’ text [123] in a more compact form.
