ABSTRACT

Guides for Emergency Response: Biological Agent or Weapon: Anthrax Th e Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) grouped potential biological agents and toxins during July of 2003 into three categories which were divided by the levels of concern that such agents could be used as biological weapons against the United States. Th ree categories were derived at levels A, B, and C.
