ABSTRACT

Chapter 2 reviews the development of content preparation. Studies of information quality, World Wide Web, advertisement, and other fields have stated essential contents for specific applications. However, there is little experimental data for neither what content is needed by customers nor how the content should be structured. The best way to determine what information application users want is to ask the users themselves. Questionnaires can first be constructed based on the potential content revealed by related literatures, then factor analysis can be conducted on user responses to derive a factor structure, which not only can help IT designers to include all necessary information, but also can be used in other areas.
