ABSTRACT
Crop diseases are caused by pests such as insects, bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Pesticides are often classi ed by the type of pest they control. Another way to think about pesticides is considering their chemical structures, their common source, or their production method. Categories of pesticides include biopesticides, antimicrobials, and pest control devices. Thus pesticides are de ned as any substance or a mixture of substances used for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigation of any pest.
