ABSTRACT

Different levels of information can be provided in the sales brochure for a new vehicle. A superfi cial level would be limited, almost, to colors and fabrics. The next level is core data helpful to make a purchase decision. To move up one level, additional data are provided and are beyond the nice-to-know category. These additional data, which enable a more intelligent decision, are typical of information found in Consumer Reports. The fi nal level of information, which some persons may label off-the-deep-end, requires some knowledge of engineering. Of course, readers of this book qualify as interpreters of the fi nal level. The sales brochure should provide the information at the fi nal level [1].
