ABSTRACT
We are now ready to introduce the special property of uniform continuity. We will see that functions that are uniformly continuous are somewhat more “tame” than functions that are merely continuous. Also, there are some convenient consequences to uniform continuity that do not hold for merely continuous functions. We begin by motivating the definition.
