ABSTRACT
Quantitative estimation of biological substances is understandably a very important part of the science of biochemistry. In chemistry, students would have dealt with analytical techniques involving titrations (titrimetric analysis) or weighing (gravimetric analysis). The most important and extensively used assay technique in biochemistry is spectrophotometry.
