ABSTRACT

Tremor in childhood, although considered rare, is frequently seen among patients referred to pediatric neurologists. In a series of 684 children with movement disorders, the incidence of tics was 39%, dystonia 24%, tremor 10%, chorea 5%, myoclonus 2%, akinetic-rigid syndromes 2%, and mixed disorders 8%. Although not generalizable data, it is of interest that there is very little published regarding this entity in childhood.
