Thyrotoxicosis is an uncommon disorder of childhood and is characterized by acceleratedmetabolism of body tissues resulting from excessive levels of unbound circulating thyroid hormones. Graves’ disease accounts for at least 95% of cases in children (1). Other causes are rare and are listed in Table 1.
