ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the dependence between heat flux and temperature head for turbulent boundary layer in the differential (Equation 3.32) and integral (Equation 3.40) forms are derived. The approach used here is the same as that used in Chapter 3. First, the thermal boundary layer equation is solved for the equilibrium turbulent boundary layers as has been done for the self-similar laminar boundary layers. Then, the solution is generalized for the arbitrary free stream velocity using a slight dependency of coefficients gk on the pressure gradient.
