ABSTRACT
California’s Central Valley is 450 miles long and encompasses over 15 million acres (Great Valley Center, 1998). It includes the Sacramento Valley as the northern portion, the delta where the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers join, and the San Joaquin Valley as the southern portion.
