ABSTRACT
Insects and rodents are responsible for numerous outbreaks of disease in humans and animals. These pests, or vectors, also cause extreme annoyance because of bites. They contaminate huge quantities of food, which must be destroyed because of the potential spread of disease. Contamination can be caused by vectors coming into contact with disease-causing microorganisms and carrying the organisms on their bodies or by vectors depositing feces or urine on food.
