ABSTRACT

As discussed in chapter 18, it is the responsibility of the designated quality control (QC) personnel to take the necessary and appropriate steps to ensure that the firm’s dietary supplement products consistently and properly meet all of their established specifications and are neither actually nor legally adulterated. As outlined, this is a complex challenge consisting of many facets, one of which involves laboratory operations. This portion of the QC duties is stated in §111.110, albeit somewhat briefly.
