ABSTRACT
This chapter serves as an introduction to the basic concepts of electromagnetic radiation. Much of the material discussed in this chapter is taken from Avery and Berlin (1992), Jensen (2007), and Lillesand and Kiefer (2004). The reader is encouraged to consult these three textbooks for additional technical information.
