ABSTRACT
When we look at cells, or life in general, we see that nature makes extensive use of polymers. Indeed, DNA, RNA, proteins, starch and cellulose, for example, are all polymers. Such polymers are essential for life on earth as all modern cells use one single (basically universal) genetic apparatus involving DNA, RNA and proteins.
